Welcome to The Hub’s online Equip Training!

In case you’re new around here, The Hub is a nonprofit in Shreveport, Louisiana that is on a mission to give everyone in our city access to a restored life! Our ministry was born in 2007 out of the trunk of founder Cassie Hammett’s car. For nearly 2 decades, The Hub has been striving to give the most vulnerable in our city access to safe rescue routes, healthy relationships, dignifying resources, and holistic recovery. But… you’ll learn more about how we do that in Lesson 1!

The purpose of Equip Training is to teach you about The Hub, who we serve, why we serve, and how YOU can serve alongside us! We’ll cover topics like poverty, human trafficking, and trauma, so you’ll be prepared to serve in meaningful and committed ways. Everyone is welcome to get Equipped, but it is only required for volunteers interested in serving on one of The Hub’s 3 core volunteer teams (outreach, teaching, and ally).
